CAFA Stops Forced Abortion, Mom and Babies(?) Saved
Great news from the Center Against Forced Abortions (CAFA):
Recently, the Alliance Defense Fund contacted us on behalf of a young girl in Kansas who was trying to help a girl being forced by her parents to have an abortion. We immediately contacted the girl who turned out to be the sister of the baby’s father. The young mother had already run away from home to save her baby, but had been told by the police that there was nothing they could do to help her. We gave the father’s sister the “Dear Parent Letter” and the Life Dynamics “Letter to Abortionists” from the Center Against Forced Abortion (CAFA).
Yesterday, [the sister] called us joyfully to thank us. … Working with us and other groups, she was able to find a lawyer in Wichita, Kansas. The lawyer went to court and obtained an order preventing a forced abortion.
Pro-life groups that we put her in contact with called police and told them that a court order had been entered to stop the abortion and child abuse and that the police needed to stop them until the paperwork could get there. This time, the police did their job and kept the parents there until the paperwork arrived preventing the abortion.
The grandmother of the child in the womb (the young girl’s mother) even wept and thanked the baby’s father for helping because she knew the girl did not want the abortion. The situation now has calmed and they are going to their first prenatal visit today, which may reveal the doctor’s belief, that there may be twins.
The Center Against Forced Abortions was started by The Justice Foundation to provide information and assistance to pregnant teens and women who are being coerced or forced into abortion, and to train pregnancy centers to provide assistance.
