5 Simple Steps to Get Involved in the Church Awareness Project
Have you received your free book to pass along to your pastor? This and other resources can save lives and awaken your church … especially during our annual Coerced Abortion Awareness Week.
People near you are at risk of or have been hurt by abortion — including unwanted, forced or deceptively sold abortions. Parents near you have daughters at risk of abortion or serious post-abortion issues, including trauma and suicide.
We encourage you, your faith leaders, and all the members of your church or faith group to participate.
You will receive a free pdf copy of The Jericho Plan: Breaking Down the Walls Which Prevent Post-Abortion Healing, by Elliot Institute Director Dr. David Reardon. Share this book with your pastor to “light one candle” in your church.
As a thank you, when you donate $20 or more, you’ll receive two printed copies of The Jericho Plan — one for yourself and the other for your pastor or other church leaders. (If you already have a copy, donate both copies to leaders in your church or the church library.)
You will also receive additional resources and project ideas.
Participation is simple:
Join the Church Awareness Project and pass along your free downloadable book, cover letter and other materials you’ll receive to your pastor and other leaders. The book is in pdf format. No special e-reader is needed.
1. Go here to sign up for the project and get the Church Leader’s Kit. Then, give it to your pastor or other leaders in your faith community.
You’ll receive the Church Leader’s Kit by email. It includes a letter to your pastor or other leaders that you can personalize, a free downloadable copy of The Jericho Plan, and other resources.
2. Pledge to share the book and materials with your pastor and other leaders. Let us and other participants know you are sharing the book and kit by Making a Pledge to share the kit.
3. Ask your pastor to learn more, and to teach and preach about these issues from the pulpit, especially during Coerced Abortion Awareness Week (this includes two Sundays to help churches find a Sunday that works best for them).
4. Read these materials yourself and share them with others in your church. Work together to find ways to put some of the ideas in The Jericho Plan and other project activities and ideas into practice in your church. Reach out to the community, too, via letters to the editor or other ideas listed on the project page.
5. Donate to support this work. Receive two free printed copies of The Jericho Plan for a donation of $20 or more — one for yourself and the other for your pastor or other church leaders. (If you already have a copy, donate both copies to leaders in your church or the church library.)
