Here Are the Resources You Need for Coerced Abortion Awareness Week

Below is a checklist of resources you’ll receive when you join the Elliot Institute’s Church Awareness Project.

Share your free downloadable copy of The Jericho Plan book with your pastor or other church leaders. Ask your pastor to learn more about this issue, and to teach and preach about these issues from the pulpit, especially during Coerced Abortion Awareness Week.

Checklist of Resources You’ll Receive in Your Participants’ Kit:

In addition to your free book, your kit will include other resources to raise awareness of these issues, remove stigma, and extend help and healing to others. These materials include flyers and ads you can use in many ways.

1. A copy The Jericho Plan, plus a letter to share with your pastor and other church leaders. You’ll receive a free pdf copy of our guide for pastors, The Jericho Plan: Breaking Down the Walls Which Prevent Post-Abortion Healing, by Elliot Institute Director Dr. David Reardon, and a letter to share with your pastor or other church leader. You can edit the letter in your own words or write a note of your own.

Let us, and other participants, know you are sharing the book and kit by visiting our Pledge Page.

Bonus Offer: Support the Church Awareness Project with a donation of $20 or more and we’ll send you two printed copies of The Jericho Plan — one for yourself and the other for your pastor or other church leaders. (If you already have a copy, donate both copies to leaders in your church or to the church library.)

2. Personal Testimonies. Share stories from a teen, a woman and a man who experienced abortion to help others understand what people in your church or community may be going through.

3. Portraits of Coercion. A brief but poignant flyer that also includes quick facts about unwanted abortions and aftereffects.

4. Educational Flyers. These two flyers show a big-picture perspective of abortion’s exploitation and harm to both mothers and babies. Forced Abortion in America and What Every American Needs to Know provide quick overviews of the issues with supporting facts.

5. Pro-Woman/Pro-Life/Pro-Family Prayer Intentions. These can be used during services, as bulletin inserts or elsewhere.

6. Help & Healing booklets. Guides about how to offer or find help before or after abortion.

Other Resources and Project Ideas Are Available

Check our Resources List Page and Project Ideas Page for other available resources and project ideas. For example, use our sample letters to the editor to help educate the greater community about these issues. If your church will be offering help and healing ministries, you can also write letters or place ads to invite the public.
We encourage you, your faith leaders, and all the members of your church or faith group to participate. We want to shed light on new evidence and hidden issues. This is an opportunity to speak up, defend the rights of others, provide support, and offer help, hope and healing.
